Poem: A New Day
Your birds chirp,
Your cool breeze blows,
You calm my soul.
My comfort is with you, and not in the world,
I serve you- not my flesh.
You are the one I aim to please
You are the one I surrender to,
My savior brings me restoration.
As I sit in his morning breeze,
I enjoy the subtle sounds of nature.
Thank you Jesus…
I am not alone, For every prayer- you suffice
You feel my heart’s cries each night,
There is no one who mends my heart,
Like my Love, My Lord, My Savior.
You bring me joy in the midnight hour,
Peace you rest upon me in the days of trial,
So I seek you first-your beauty, your presence-
Knowing all else follows- all natural implications
Today is a new day- This I claim
For this day is not the same
This day- I enter your rest.

“For he who has once entered God’s rest also has ceased from [the weariness and pain] of human labors, just as God rested on those Labors peculiarly His own.” - Hebrews 4:10
