Tears of Joy
About the Music Video
Once upon a time, there was a little girl who had a big dream! A dream to rescue her mom from poverty and many struggles. She thought that her passion to sing was the ticket to financial independence… only to find out that it was very hard. With no one to turn to, her dream was shattered at an early age and her heart was battered with all the mocking and disappointments.
Clarrisse experienced promises of gigs that went nowhere… A producer promised her a role in a movie only if…? She refused. A talent scout booked her for a Policarpio TV show where she appeared as a nagging wife. She was hired by a company to be its very first signature model when its Sunflower biscuit product was first launched and aired on TV. After that, the models were bigger celebrities. She was booked for “Big Ike’s Happening” talk show where she sat next to a male superstar, while she was featured as the new face. She thought she had a good run but she found out later that her talent scout had something else in mind…? She refused again. Then she took some modeling gigs from a so-called movie investor only to find out that he wanted to cheat on his wife with her…? She said Nooo! She refused to conform to show business lifestyle of “anything goes as long as you promise me a role or make me a star.” She wanted to be a star with no strings attached with any producer, director, investor or talent scout. They said, “Everybody else is doing it.” She said Nooo! So, at a young age, she felt alone…. her dream was shattered. She thought that perhaps that “dream” of acting, modeling in that way is not meant to be for her. Many years later, with many prayers, she realized that her calling is to Preach N’ Sing. Ahhh… that is her true dream! However, she was told that she cannot sing… so her heart was battered again…
Then, one day, an angel gave her the courage and strength to rise up and go after her dream. “Tears of Joy” is a true-to-life story of once a little girl but now a woman in tears… running down her face because of JOY! She was so joyful and thankful for this angel. Now, this little girl’s dream is ALIVE! This song is dedicated to that angel and to all the people who encourage, empower and inspire. Clarrisse Gill is grateful to her angel! Thank you so much, Ms. Billie Cole!
